March 6 - 10
This week we will be traveling to the Philharmonic Orchestra! This is a half-day field trip that will take place on Tuesday morning. We are very excited about adding this to our new experiences. I have a workshop that I am required to attend on Wednesday, and will be in the school, but the students will have a substitute.
LA - Students are learning about capitals, and are moving on to apostrophes. We will be focusing on mechanics of writing over the next month to try and improve this is all the students' stories. There will be a capitals quiz on Tuesday afternoon.
Math - We continue with our measurement unit. Students continue to learn about area, perimeter, and volume.
Science - We have begun our electricity unit. This week we will be focusing on electrical safety!
French - We will be writing about a friend in French and drawing pictures of their characteristics that we will describe.
That's about it for this week. Hope that everyone enjoys themselves.
